Jo Ann Krieger, 71, of Huron passed away early Saturday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2006, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after alengthy illness.
She was born March 2, 1935, in Castalia and was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary High School. She worked for many years as a secretary at Sandusky Roofing Company, Mrs.
Wallace’s Play School and later at Battery Park Marina.
Mrs. Krieger volunteered for a few years at the American Red Cross, Firelands Chapter. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, George Krieger; son, Kevin (Denise)Krieger of Sandusky; and her life was made special when she became Nana to her
two grandchildren, Kevin Christopher and Kaitlin Elizabeth Krieger; two sisters, Mary (John) Bittner and Donna (Dutch) Greulich, both of Sandusky; two brothers, Don Krafty of Sandusky and LeRoy Wobser of Wooster, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Lawrence and Luella Gertrude (Rader) Krafty; and a sister, Peggy Mineo.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Doug Garand will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary
