Charles T. Cullen, 74, Sandusky, Ohio, died Friday morning, December 22, 2006, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Sandusky, Ohio. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, AMVETS Post 17, American Legion Post 83, and the Orioles Club. He enjoyed golfing and played in the 19th Hole, and the Knights of Columbus Leagues. He enjoyed yard work.
Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjory A. (Laessle) Cullen, Sandusky, whom he married Oct. 25, 1952, in St. Mary's Catholic Church; four sons, Craig (Kathy), Holgate, Ohio, Chris (Debbie), Castalia, Mark (Rhonda), and Jeff (Mary Ellen), Sandusky; one daughter, Kim (Jim) Cecil, Lewis Center, OH; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Nicholas Cullen, Castalia, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. and Estella (Riesterer) Cullen; three brothers, Leo, Vincent "Pat", and Edward Cullen in childhood; and his three sisters, Esther Jago, Cecilia Klucas, and Mary Close.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 2 -4 and 6 -9 p.m. in the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday with prayer in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Angels Catholic Church at 10 a.m. The Rev. Chris Kardzis officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
