Dennis J. “Bug” Didion, 52, of 4049 Egypt Road, Willard and formerly of Monroeville died from the result of an explosion at his residence, early Thursday morning, Dec. 21, 2006.
He was born Dec. 17, 1954, in Norwalkandwasalifelongresident of the Monroeville area, moving to Willard in 1999. He had owned and operated Didion Builders since 1978. Denny was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, St. John Newman Chapter 1117 of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post 547. He was a 25-year member of the Huron River Join Fire District, serving as captain at the time of his retirement from the department in 1999. He had also served on the Monroeville City Council. Bug was an avid sports fan, from playing dartball, softball or mud volleyball to playing a game of euchre or watching the Monroeville Eagles. He loved his community, helping out and volunteering any time he had with many different organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, the former Susie A. Roeder; daughter, Jenny and son, Jeremy, both of Willard: his mother, Helen Didion of Monroeville; two brothers, Ronald (Kathy) Didion of Dover and Ken (Sharon) Didion of Westlake; sister, Suzie (Tim) Webb of Norwalk; his in-laws, Norman andPatRoederofMonroeville;four sisters-in-law, Lynn Roeder Child of Findlay, Nancy (Ken) Brown of Monroeville, Debi (Steve) Teague of Bucyrus and Diane (Scott) Stiert of Milan; one brother-in-law, Norman (Kathy) Roeder of Lewis Center, Ohio; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Friends may call form 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St., Monroeville. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church,66ChapelSt.,Monroeville, with The Rev. Kenneth J. Lill officiating.
