LeRoy Dean Sauvey, 82, of Lakeside, died Friday, July 16, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.

He was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Cleveland, son of Ralphe Sauvey and Mary Ellen (Seinbenhaar) Sauvey-Kilgus.

Roy married Barbara J (Hast) on Oct. 16, 1960, and she survives along with his daughters, Judy (Rick) Klotz of Norwalk and Jan (Steve) Butler of Johnson City, Tenn.; a grandson, Eric (Amy) Klotz of Nolensville, Tenn.; and great-grandson, Zachary Klotz.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by a brother, Frank "Chic" Sauvey.

A celebration of Roy's life will begin with graveside services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sackett Cemetery in Danbury Township. Following the services, the family invites everyone to join them at the Fountain Inn in Lakeside to continue the celebration of Roy's life.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Stein Hospice Inpatient Unit or the Sandusky Maritime Museum.
