Robert E. Moncrief, Nov. 23, 1944-Sept. 2, 2010

Robert E. Moncrief, 65, of Superior Avenue in Cleveland, passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010.

He was born Nov. 23, 1944, in Jasper, Ala., son of the late Virgil and Myrtle (Bower) Moncrief. Bob was a retired U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his sons, Tim (Lucia) Moncrief of Norwalk, Justin Moncrief of Clyde, Sam Moncrief of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Mike (Kelly) Moncrief of Foley, Ala.; daughters, Becky (Ron) Proger of Hendersonville, N.C., Christy Pelz of Clyde and Lisa Moncrief of Port Clinton; 15 grandchildren; brother, Gene (Doris) Moncrief of Empire, Ala.; sisters, Meba (Carl) Rice and Glenda (Edmond) Aaron of Jasper.

In addition to his parents, his brothers, Ray and Macbee Moncrief preceded him in death.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Foos-Klein Funeral Home, 318 S. Main St., Clyde, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, with full military honors.
