Dennis Studer, 54, of Bellevue, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, in University of Toledo Medical Center.

He was born June 15, 1956, in Norwalk, to Clarence and Lucille (Berrier) Studer. Dennis was a self-employed stone mason, owned Studer Specialty Masonry and was the Bar-B-Q Pit Master of Snooties Bar-B-Q. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Club Amer-Ital, Eagles Aerie 490, and was a 1974 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. He enjoyed collecting gargoyles and traveling to any place warm and tropical.

Survivors include his sons, Gregory (Katie) Hutchinson of Phoenix, Ariz., Michael Studer of Bellevue; daughters, Elizabeth Studer of Boston, Jennifer (Timothy) Stoenner of Massena, N.Y., and Janet Studer of Bellevue; grandchildren, Caleb Studer, Devin Studer, Dominick Studer, Nolan Natole, Nason Natole, Olivia Stoenner, Arieh Stoenner and Brennan Hutcinson; parents, Clarence and Lucille Studer of New Washington; brother, Andrew (Melanie) Studer of Galion, Ohio; sisters, Chris (Robert) Shiebley of new Washington, Ohio, Kathy (Rodney) Cole of Crestline, Ohio, Sandra Kaple of New Washington and Judy (Roger) Auck of New Washington; his best friend, Elizabeth Smith of Bellevue, and his former spouse, Catherine Studer of Bellevue.

His niece, Emelia Shiebley; good friend, Scott Ball; and his grandparents, Coletta and Sylvester Studer, and Clara and Benjamin Berrier preceded him in death.

Friends will be received 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue.
