Jack B. Fetter 69, of Findlay, Ohio, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Bridge Hospice Care Center.
Jack was born July 2, 1941, to Oscar and Pauline (Bushong) Fetter. Jack was a 1959 graduate of Prospect High School, Prospect, Ohio, and a 1963 graduate of The Ohio State University. Jack taught vocational agriculture and science at Margaretta, River Valley, Indian Lake and Cory-Rawson High Schools. Jack went on to work as a marketing supervisor for Ohio Edison for 30 years until his retirement. Jack had recently worked at Home Depot and Walmart in Findlay.
Jack was a member of the Prospect Alumni Association and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Findlay, past member of the Marion and Sandusky Speakers Bureau, Norwalk , Marion and Sandusky Kiwanis, the Ohio Teachers Association and the Ohio Snowmobile Association.
Jack is survived by his wife of 20 years, whom he married April 7, 1990, Carol (McCullough )Russell; daughter, Rhonda (Matthew) Lawrence of Columbus; stepchildren, Brian and Kevin Russell of Findlay and Matthew (Miriam) Russell of Tennessee; grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Fetter, Josh, Alex and Jessie Lawrence and Caleb, Seth, Abigail, Tyler, Hayden, Mercedes and Madeline Russell.
Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Meeks (in 1988), who he married in 1961; and a son, Randy Fetter of Marion, Ohio.
A celebration of Jack's life will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until funeral services at 11 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1701 Tiffin Ave., Findlay, Ohio. Pastor Chris Ditmar will officiate.
Memorial contributions in Jack's name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Blanchard Valley Dialysis Services or St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
