Elsie LaDonna (Heston) Gamble, March 17, 1927-Jan. 27, 2012

Elsie LaDonna (Heston) Gamble, 84, of Norwalk, died Friday morning, Jan. 27, 2012, in Willard Healthcare Center.

She was born March 17, 1927, in Norwalk, daughter of the late Jesse and Idel (Lutts) Heston. She retired from Clevite in Milan and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, and eating out with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband Eugene “Abe” Gamble, whom she married July 21, 1945; daughters, Nancy (Gene) Brill, of Norwalk, Judy (Jim) Schaaf, of Attica, and Janet (Bob) Ruffing, of Republic, Ohio; grandchildren, Candy (Vito) LaSala, Crystal (Greg) Scott, Jerry Brill, Tammy (Darryll) Snyder, Dawn (Kevin) Pickett, Jacob (Dawn) Schaaf, Jaime (Joe) Priess, Jarrod (Sarah) Schaaf, Sarah (Kenny) Wells, Becca (Kyle) McConnell and Andy Ruffing; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews; and a sister Betty Nelson, of Findlay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Ruth Gregory, Tom Heston and Don Heston.

Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30. The Rev. Francis J. Speier, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, will officiate. Private interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Norwalk.
