PERKINS TOWNSHIP POLICE MONDAY, JULY 11 11:48 a.m. - 3700 block Columbus Ave., gas station clerk detected a counterfeit $10 bill by using a counterfeit detection pen. Police later found the bill was genuine but from 1952. Police told the clerk detection pens are not 100 percent accurate especially when used on older bills. I wonder if this bill was in someone's personal savings and had to finally be spent to help pay for expenses. The economy doesn't seem to be getting better.
