Local police respond every day to heated and unusual situations. The following is one item pulled from the daily police blotter. SANDUSKY POLICE SUNDAY, JUNE 12 4:31 p.m. - 700 block W. Perkins Ave., false 911 call. A woman, 23, called 911 and told authorities she did so because her employer wanted staff to practice dialing 911 in case something happened. For the full daily police blotter from agencies across the area, pick up the Register or check out the e-paper.

Test calls to 911 are  allowed to verify an address, aren't they?   They used to be.

I don't know about test calls being allowed. But you would think she would be smart enough to call and advise them what she was doing, on a non-emergency line first.

Taxed Enough Already

Yep..I can see where an employer would want their employees to practice dialing 911.  I mean, it is a hard number to remember and THEN to have to push those 3 buttons too?  Jeez, what are employers expecting out of their people these days.
