EXACTLY! If I let my dog run loose, as the dogs owner I am responsible for the dog. Why does the media not reprimand this owner for not having that dog tied up, in the house or whatever. It's called RESPONSIBILITY.
Excelent Point. I also wondered if all of the people do not have jobs, or actually burnt a vacation day.
The question I think they need to ask themselves is "Do we have a history of the Police killing dogs in this town, or was this an isolated incident?" Since it is an isolated incident and there is no SPD Vendetta against dogs, what is the root cause of the dog being loose on multiple occasions it acting as it did and has in the past?
Wonder how many would have shown up if this dog was shot after mauling a child.Dogs, all dogs can be as dangerous as any weapon can be.It is so odd that dog was loose one time in its life and this happens. If you think consequences for a dog bite are minimal the average costs $80 thousand nationally.Did anyone of the sixty protesters ever care for that dog or feed it or take it to the vet?
I'm a woman and I have to say I don't think women should be able to be firefighters, either. The body strength just isn't there to do a fireman's carry.
I have seen women BIGGER and STRONGER than some men. These jobs you speak of, firefighter, military combat, etc take a certain type of person. Be it male or female. Some men should NOT be in combat, some women SHOULD.
Ive yet to meet one woman who could ever lift more than any guy I know of the same age group. Maybe you could find a few down at the Arnold Classic in Columbus....but your avg female.....not even close.
I will not disagree with your assessment about the average women, but the military isn't all about Braun. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most intelligent people in the military, I will have to say the top 60% of those intelligent military strategist happen to be female.
There also happen to be a few of those females that probably could beat you at any military exercise that you compete in, including hand to hand combat.
Not everything is about muscle sizes and how much you can bench or lift. I can't speak for combat rolls but firefighting is just as much about tactics and strategy as it is brut strength. Different firefighters play different rolls in training and response. Some take attack rolls and others are part of the strategies. To say a women " shouldn't" be a firefighter or have a combat roll or any occupation for that matter because of size and strength? Well that's just back words thinking. Also I still have no idea why these comments fit into the comments for this article.
What does this have to do with women being in combat?
And EXCUSE ME?! As a woman, who strongly looked into going into the Air Force and still intend to, I don't appreciate this statement.
Time for bigheads like you to do the caring of girls like me instead of vise versa.
For one thing...not everybody works 1st shift so just bbecause they were there doesn`t mean they are unemployed. I`ve noticed the comments about unemployeed people are coming from people sitting at their computers at 11am on a weekday. At least these people are getting out and doing something.
Some people have jobs that put them in front of a computer screen. Not every body wears a headset and asks if you want fries with that at their job :-....FACE

Anybody else notice that all of the dogs in the pictures had tags and were on a leash?

Mr. Sandusky you are 100% accurate to get to the root cause - Dog on leash or in the house, you have no story here.

Another valid reason women must not be in combat.

Is it just me or is anyone else wondering if any of these people have jobs?
it's not just you
@wzwqx2, So you are online while you should be working too?
People do have lunch hours and breaks to get online and read. In the people's defense, some people work 2nd and third shift.
Not just you...
Looks to me like over 60 people need a job!
@ Hoss McPee, Maybe Obama can get them a union job.

And that is how she dresses to appear in court? People that show no respect for the courts should get none in return.
One of the first things I noticed also Pterocarya... yes, ripped jeans always show courts deference don't they?
@Pterocarya frax ,it is rude to complain about someone's clothing.
