Gotta watch out for those vegans! They can get mean!

he said she said

Most dog owners don't want other people feeding their dogs.

I don't want people I don't know feeding my dog.

That gives an opening for someone to befriend my dog using food and take my dog, poison my dog using food because for whatever reason the dog doesn't like this person, or the fact that most dog owners don't feed their dog table food.

I agree with he said she said. But I wouldn't have threatened to beat somebody up over trying to feed the dog a cheeseburger! First, I would have talked to him. If that didn't work, I would have called the police.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All of this only applies if somebody walks onto my property and tries to feed my pet(s). If my dog is wandering around elsewhere, all bets are off because now I'M at fault!

Did you really need the cops for this?

Wow! Are they serious??  A simple.. " please don't feed my dog" Should have did the trick!

Actually, depending on the neighbor, one may have to call for back-up. I know some that would fly off the handle at being told not to feed the dog! Some, you can have a civil conversation with, but they are getting harder to come by.

We have a similar problem with a neighbor (we live in the country) that believes he can leave his dogs roam all over others property and attack others on the road. But everyone is supposed to love his dogs as he does. BS! They are 3 big Dobies, and have even attack horses! Big babies he says!

Tried to talk to him, no good, got snotty. Tried again, now he is PO'D!  Being an obnoxious neighbor now.... Next call WILL be sheriff. Sorry, some just don't know how to be responsible neighbors.

Maybe the dog wanted it without cheese?

Although I am a huge fan of Dobie's, I would say to you, it's time for you to call the dog warden. There is no reason why your nieghbor shouldn't be able to keep his dogs under control. Just because they are " big babies " to him,  that may not be the case to someone else or other animals as you have stated.
