Local police respond every day to heated and unusual situations. The following is one item pulled from the daily police blotter. SANDUSKY POLICE FRIDAY, FEB. 17 12:13 a.m. - 300 block Franklin St., attempted burglary; suspect left when the homeowner grabbed his 12-gauge shotgun. The suspect wore black clothing and ran south on Franklin Street, but officers were unable to find him and the homeowner was unable to provide a more detailed description. Maybe I missed the article, however if the Register hasn't done one,  how about Register doing an article on the Castle Law?  Seems like the fool that broke into that house was very lucky.  The owner just showed him the shotgun and didn't use it.
