Local police respond every day to heated and unusual situations. The following is one item pulled from the daily police blotter. SANDUSKY POLICE TUESDAY, JAN. 10 1:26 p.m. - 1400 block Dixon Drive, woman pitched furniture and mattresses in dumpster, said she had bed bugs, was trying to get rid of them, woman watched as two men pulled up in pickup truck and rifled through dumpster, men jumped in truck and drove off when woman came outside, said she didn't want to be responsible for the spread of bed bugs. For the full daily police blotter from agencies across the area, pick up the Register or check out the e-paper.

"......and don't don't let the bed bugs bite"

"and ..... NIGHTY, NIGHT"!!!!

Ahhh , the glamorous life of a dumpster diver !!! When are these guys getting their own reality series on the history or discovery channels ? I worked on a job out in Brook Park years ago and seen two BLIND guys dumpster diving . It was amazing to see ; one would heft the other into to dumpster and then use his white cane to probe for treasure while the other tossed the booty .

Well if she threw a mattress out that is full of bed bugs, and someone picks it out of the dumpster, she should NOT feel like she is spreading the bugs.  If you want to get your "new" mattress out of a nasty dumpster then you go right ahead.  The lady should have left them take it. LOL.  (again, is this really something you call the police about? how do you explain that to the dispatch?)
