Carl F. Snyder, 64, of Clyde, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Snyder was born Oct. 26, 1947, in Fremont to the now-deceased Linus and Christine (Flory) Snyder.
Carl graduated from Clyde High School in 1966 and served with the U.S. Army from 1967-1969 in Germany. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde Eagles and Moose, and the Fremont VFW.
He had worked at the Heinz Corp. in Fremont prior to retiring in October 2011.
Survivors include his siblings, Dolores (Richard) Kuns of Clyde, Thomas (Judy) Snyder of Tiffiin, Vincent (Charlene) Snyder of Fremont and Martha (Chet) Schaeffer of Tiffin; and nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Snyder in 1971, Louis Snyder in 2003 and George Snyder in 2009.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, and from 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Lill officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery with military rites provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
