Walter H. "Bud" Barnett, 77, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at The Bellevue Hospital. He was born June 30, 1934 in Tennessee, the son of Walter R. and Terra (Simms) Barnett.

Mr. Barnett was employed by International Metal Hose as a foreman until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the former Club Amer-Ital and enjoyed fishing, playing golf and especially spending time with his grandsons. He always looked forward to Christmas and with the help of friends and family he was able to set up a display of 35,000 lights at his residence on Ellis Avenue.

He is survived by his wife, Lois (Artino, Norman), of Bellevue, whom he married in 1974 at Attica Sts. Peter and Paul Church; sons, Chuck (D'aun) Norman of Birmingham, Mich., and Ronald (Debbie) Barnett of Dade City, Fla.; daughters, Nicole (Paul) Grasso of Westford, Mass., Cheryl (Carl) Norman-Adler of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and Victoria (Donald) McMaine of Waco, Ky.; six grandchildren; and his siblings, Jim Barnett of Florida, Dezzie (Bob) Cox of Florida, Martha (Herb) Rohrbacher of Clyde, Geraldine Whaley of Colorado, Dorothy Townsend of Bellevue and Charles Barnett of Bellevue.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth; and sister, Barbara.

Friends will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a Rosary Service will be at 3 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
