Peggy J. (Austin) Lisy, 79, of Milan, passed away peacefully at her home early Monday morning, Jan. 23, 2012.

She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Norwalk and was a 1950 graduate of Norwalk High School. Peggy retired from business ownership several years ago and spent her time being actively involved in organizations including the Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711, where she served as the Ladies Auxiliary president for several years. Also, she was a Ladies Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 527, and the VFW Post 2743. Peggy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroeville. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, and she loved playing cards with her family and friends.

Peggy is survived by her children, Robert (Pamela) Raymond of Milan, John (Valerie) Raymond of Norwalk, Kimberly (Bill) Sartor of Sandusky, Kyle Lisy of Milan, Jerry (Kathe) Lisy of Parma, Ohio, and Jeff Lisy, of Brecksville, Ohio; grandchildren, Matthew (Kathy), Pepper, Josh (Jessica), Jason, Christian (Amy), Brandon (Shannon), Ashley, Tiffany, Ryan (Nikki), Corbin, Marissa, Samantha, Tiffany, Whitney, and Jonathan; sister, Susan (Doug) Breech of Commercial Point, Ohio, and many close friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. Lisy, on Nov. 18, 2000; her parents, Harlan and Marjorie (Bell) Austin; sisters, Ruth Ann and Dorothy Austin; and her brothers, Jack and Richard Austin.

Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 S. Main St., Milan, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25. The Rev. Wendy Schindler-Chasney will officiate. Burial will take place in Milan Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.
