What's going on with the Aaron Voltz case?

It's been almost three years since Aaron Voltz was fired after he was accused of rape. I know he's fighting the case, so what's the latest status of it? John in Huron

Erie County human resources director Nancy Ostrander provided the following response:

There isn’t much happening. The court continued the trial that was scheduled in late March. It will not be rescheduled until the judge rules on the motion for summary judgment that we filed. There is no indication when the court will issue a ruling.  If the motion is granted, the case will be dismissed.

A Register story published earlier this month indicated a trial could happen as soon as mid-to-late 2014.

Voltz is suing the county for about $75,000 for what he claims is a wrongful termination based on his gender and ethnicity.
