What's going in the PNC Bank building?

What's going to happen with the PNC building after that branch closes? If another bank sets up shop there, I plan to switch to whatever bank that is, because that's where I do all of my banking. John via email

The bank, located on West Washington Street by the Merry-Go-Round Museum in downtown Sandusky, closed for good on Friday due to a lack of customer traffic.

It's not known exactly what business, if anything, will go into the building.

If we hear of something, we'll let you know about it through our reporting.

The Mailbag is a daily feature on SanduskyRegister.com. Every weekday at noon, we will post one question-and-answer from a resident. To ask a question, send a letter to The Mailbag at 314 W. Market St., or e-mail mailbag@sanduskyregister.com. Please include your first name and a location in the e-mail, e.g. “John from Decatur Street."

What a shame. People could use a bank downtown.

Citizens Bank, Key Bank and First Federal of Lorain although a savings & loan all the functions of a bank, all three located downtown.

A Vacationland branch would be nice.
ANY bank open on Saturdays downtown would be nice, too.

Citizens is open half day on Saturday via drive through. I would suggest you choose your bank on something other than just the building it is in, all banks offer different services, fee structures, etc.
