Have an update on the pastor accused of abusing girls?

Would you know of anything about the pastor from Lighthouse Baptist Church that was (accused) of molesting little girls? There was a story in the newspaper not that long ago, I was wondering if he was found guilty or not guilty.— Lenny from Sandusky

Court proceedings take time, so it's very rare to have a conviction after only a few months, unless the accused pleads guilty. In this case, Richard Mick, 51, has pleaded not guilty. He was charged with two counts of rape for allegedly attacking a former parishioner more than a decade ago. A 26-year-old woman accused Mick of molesting her when she was 13, and 17-year-old woman came forward with similar allegations, saying she was assaulted when she was a small child. I talked to courts reporter Jessica Cuffman to get the latest information on the case. She said a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 29. She'll keep following the story and will have more information in the Register as it continues.

Thank you Zach for the clarification.
I too had a friend who did some work there and all his workers said he was rude, controlling and down right nasty. He stated his workers almost walked off the job. Too bad its no longer the Homestead Restaurant, talk about great food back then.

I Find this story shocking, I used to attend this church 5years ago before leaving to attend a different church.
I am shocked that Mick would do this,
This church will probley close soon,

Isn't his son the youth pastor for the teens?

also is there another story of this?

This guy sounds like Jim Jones, the one who was investigated and then had everyone take poison!

Why did the church bail him out of jail for?
This is the 21st century and people still follow people like this? A Jim Jones catastrophe waiting to happen. At least his daughters were smart enough to leave if these things are the truth.

I understand the guidelines, but it seems ZACH knows a great deal about this situation since he went there for many years. The prosecutor should interview him and others who are no longer members of that church, usually where there is smoke there's fire, and if children are involved one must ask if there are others. Lets hope that these charges are false, but it not he should be made an example of what happens to molesters, especially when they are trusted under the care of someone from 'god'.

If this crime is true than everyone who went or goes there and thought there were problems and said nothing is just as guilty!

Second Opinion, I have also went there for number of years as well, I honestly don't understand honetsly, Zachfromsandusky didn't say anything negative he didn't cuss, he didn't name any names who was involved,

Last I knew the Pre-trial was set for Oct. 29th and I havent seen any updates...Has anyone heard what happen at the pre-trial????
