LETTER: Don't bail county out

I am a resident of the city of Sandusky, which a lot of people forget is in Erie County too. As far as the water rates, they should be a dead issue.

As for the $100 million debt of the county, go back to former three county commissioners, Tom, Nancy and Sparky, for what they did for their water park on U.S. 250. With all that tax base on U.S. 250, I can't understand why the township and the county are in trouble.

Now, the two new county commissioners and Perkins Township trustees should have known when they ran for office what was going on. The city is in an awful mess of their own and we can't bail you out.
