Huron City Council may pull the plug on Lake Erie Boat Week because the event's insurance policy doesn't cover water activities. Additionally, the American Power Boat Racing Association has been scratched from the Lake Erie Boat Week schedule.

HURON A $50 million housing development now getting under way in Huron gives Erie County its first new major housing development in a couple of years. The Two Rivers housing development features upscale houses built to order in a New England, Nantucket style.

HURON Huron police have arrested a 54-year-old woman who allegedly threatened to cut off her daughter's arms. The daughter and her friend ran to a neighbor‘s home seeking help after the woman made the threats.

HURON A contract between Huron and Lake Erie Boat Week's organizer was finalized with council's approval on Tuesday. "Do we finally have everything in order?" asked Huron Mayor Marilyn Shearer. Indeed, they do. Five conditions that held up negotiations have been ironed out, city manager Andy White said.
