Q: Dear Mailbag, I realize that in emergency situations police officers are assigned to traffic detail. What I don't understand is why for the past two days, on Route 13 in Huron, they were essentially acting as a construction company flag crew. Don't the companies usually hire individuals to do this? What if there was an emergency? Would the critical call be put on hold or would they leave and risk cars colliding as drivers tried to figure out who had the right of way on the one lane road? Any clarification you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! - Pam in Huron
