A Huron boater battling the wind while docking at the Huron Boat Basin ended up colliding with a Huron fire boat, a police report said. The man told police the wind pushed his boat near the basin, but he didn't notice his boat strike the fire boat. Huron fire officials found damage on the fire boat, which was gouged in two places with fiberglass torn away.

One of two men arrested for a Sunday-morning fight in Huron may have brandished a sword during the scuffle, but police were unable to locate the weapon.
