I am not sure why schools allow photographers in dances...while I doubt there is malicious intent, pictures are taken out of context. Pretty sure Perkins will be getting some grief over these.
Maybe the Register should be the one, ya know. They should not be allowed into stuff like this. It seems like perhaps they are looking to stir the pot some. I am guessing that Perkins Schools will catch a lot of poo over this. The SandPaper will be the first one to report it as soon as they create the story!
Why would Perkins be getting any grief over these photos? It's just kids having fun like all the other kids from other local schools that have been pictured at their proms!
A lot of class and pride went into some of these poses (sarcasm). Sure am glad my kids weren't pictured in some of them (sarcasm off).
Torn t-shirts and wife beaters at the prom?
Leave it to Perkins to keep it "Classy!"
Erie countian, give it a couple days and I am sure the grief will be there.
What Would Bellevue Do?
It looks to me like turning the air conditioning up would have made everyone happier.
BINGO there is not AC in the room. Let's see if anybody can think of a reason the jackets and vest came off. Looks like some kids had the idea of bringing T-shirts. click, that was rhe light turning on.
Well hell, why not just get naked and go to the water park? If they paid for the hall, they paid for comfort. What? no-one has a mouth to complain? If I were the parent who paid for that tux or dress and the hall, I'd be pitchin' a fit.
I ask, what kind of parents and what kind of administrators would allow this very inappropriate "bump and grind" style of dancing? Shame on Perkins parents and shame on the Perkins School Administrators!!!
Hey Register: There was 4 area proms last nite, what happened to Margaretta..just wondering, Thanks
Maybe Perkins is trying to show how poor their school district really is? They can't even afford dress shirts for the boys on prom night?
Honestly, not a single student was ill dressed. It was only in the middle of the night when most of them had sweated through their layers that they decided to take off the jackets and some their dress shirts. Is that disrespectful somehow? I dont see how keeping comfortable is bad. It is not like this is a new concept. How about we take focus off what people were dressed like when the dance ended and maybe look at how nice everyone looked or heaven forbid if anyone had fun.
Oh well each to their own. These are the future fathers that are going to be in the future showing their pictures of attending the prom to their sons..........trying to convince them they were well dressed and well behaved. Ah, its their choice and as I say to each their own.
I have a good friend whose son found pictures of the dad at a formal dance as school. Father had a very difficult time explaining to his son why he looked like such a bum at the dance. He finally gave up and said..."It was a phase I was going thru.... alright?" Son just laughed and said "awesome dad you are more normal than I thought" ha ha
That's funny crap right there, JACK!!! lol
Cool pics!! Looks everyone had a goodtime! That’s what it’s all about!
The guys in t-shirts or whatever look absolutely RIDICULOUS!
That's not the way they came to the prom. They took their shirts and coats off. They didn't have any problem with it; I certainly don't have any problem with it. Points for staying at the Prom and having fun rather than a motel room somewhere partying it up.
The rooms are upstairs. No pictures of that means what? No points here for looking like clowns! Do you really know what happened after the prom? I DON'T EITHER!
Can't blame this on SR..not like this is first time theyever went to prom and took pics. Been doing it for years and never seemed to b a problem. Can't help it shows kids being trashy. Where r the teachers in charge? Don't see any! If I were the parent of a few of these kids I would be sick to my stomach...at the kids..not at SR
How many of these "kids" are open enrolled?
And just what does open enrollment have to do with a prom? What is the point of this statement? However to answer the question, not that many. The bulk of open enrolled students are freshmen and sophomores.
All of them, "VOTENO". The non-open enrolled students, not pictured, were on the other side of the room waltzing with each other. Geez.
These are teenagers having fun. Go be sick if you must but that is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. There is a lot more going on in this world to get worked up about than a prom night.
St. Mary's is looking better and better every day!
As others have said. Vote no on both school levies! Send a message to the board and Gunner! He needs to move on!
