When are we going to start "paying tribute" to those in the area that actually deserve it?

MrSandusky,

Please provide a list of people you feel are deserving of being "paid a tribute" here in the comments or you can e-mail me at werling@sanduskyregister.com. I promise to follow up on the list.

It would probably be a little easier than bashing someone most people in the community appreciate for nationally and internationally representing Sandusky and also being a spokesperson for stroke awareness.

Thanks.

One name Jason Werling. How about Elsebeth Baumgartner? The Sandusky Register and many area newspapers made her out to be some wack job as did attorney Buff and others who had a free pass to bash her on the SR comments. I have done extensive research into how she tried to expose corruption in Ohio. She is locked up in prison for 8 years. The Sandusky Register and area newspapers are directly responsible for helping the powers that be put her into prison and covering up the truth.

Your turn Jason Werling. Tell the truth Jason. You made a promise to follow up on the list.

Moderators have removed this comment because it contained Personal attacks (including: name calling, presumption of guilt or guilt by association, insensitivity, or picking fights).

MrSandusky, it is unfortunate that all you could do is to say something negative. Jackie Mayer has done a lot for the Sandusky community by
representing the area and helping a lot at the hospital and being a great
spokesperson for stroke victims. Please to be positive and think before
you post something negative.

I made a promise to follow up on MrSandusky's suggestions and I have already been given a name. Thank you MrSandusky.

Centauri- I have worked at the Register for long enough to remember Elsebeth and I'm sure there will be a follow up on her at sometime down the road. But after seeing the comment you made that had to be removed, I'm not sure your heart is in the right place for me to make promises of paying tribute to your suggestions. Putting a disclaimer on your comment of "No personal attacks" doesn't clear the comment from being a personal attack. It is like saying "No offense, but..."

I would like to see a follow up on Elsebeth Baumgartner, too. Is she still in prison? Out of all the injustices that the corrupt Erie County courts enjoy meting out to people, that case infuriates me more than any of them.

I didn't really pay that much attention when the Baumgartner case was going on. All I remember is reading about it in the SR and thinking to myself I'll bet everything she's saying is the truth.

Another thing I remember ---- I was on the 2nd floor of the courthouse one day for a probate court hearing that the probate court didn't think I had been notified of.(another story in itself) Anyway, I got there early and the only other person I saw was some big heavy-set guy in an office located between the probate court and the probate court hearing room. He obviously didn't see me or I'm sure he would have shut the door. I heard him make at least 20 phone calls, most of them leaving messages. Every message was the same --- Elsebeth Baumgartner, somebody by the name of Helen, a stolen car, etc. and he ended all of his messages with: "We got her now." When the other employees started coming to work I saw somebody from Binette's court go in his office. She obviously told him I was sitting out there because he came out and looked at me and then went back in the office and slammed the door.

It wasn't until days later ~ or maybe it was a week ~ that I read in the paper about that joke high-speed 35 m.p.h. chase when they arrested her saying she stole what turned out to be her own car.

Had I known then what I know now I would have called and told her the clowns were setting her up.
