Norwalk makes it to districts: Dustin Lieber shot a 76 as the Truckers earned a second straight trip to the D-I district tournament at Red Hawk Run in Findlay. Brandon Malson (81), Karson Schaechterle (85) and Tyler Beveridge (86) also scored, while junior Bailey Rarick trailed by a stroke.

Perkins' Foss advances: The Pirates missed the cut as a team, but Perkins' Nate Foss earned a trip to the district tournament with an 80, good for the third of five tickets to the district tournament solo.


Norwalk 393 at sectionals: The Norwalk girls fell short of a district berth, but they improved on their previous finishes at the sectional tournament at Detwiler Park in Toledo. Hannah Schneider fell just 1 stroke short of the final qualifier.


Findlay 3, St. Paul 1: The Lady Flyers fell to the Trojans at home, 28-26, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20. Findlay 14-4 came in ranked No. 13 in Division I, but had already score big victories over state powers like Marion Local, Mansfield Madison and Toledo Notre Dame.


Port Clinton 4, Perkins 1: Katrina Lindsley, Reagan Frye, Abbi Pitts and Marci Lindsley scored for the Redskins (10-2-1, 7-1-1) as they continued rolling through their first varsity season.

Vermilion 4, North Ridgeville 3

Huron 4, Edison 1: Huron clinched a share of the Sandusky Bay Conference title Wednesday with a win over Edison, sweeping singles for the Tiger victory. The title is Huron's first since 2002.
