Here's a quick roundup of some of Monday's top games:
Port Clinton 7, Perkins 0: The Redskins, making quick work of many of their opponents in their first year as a varsity program, defeated Perkins 7-0 in their Kick for the Cure game. Shelby Gerwin and Raean Frye both earned hat tricks for Port Clinton, who tallied their third shutout of the season.
Perkins 3, Sandusky 0: The Pirates defeated Sandusky by scores of 25-16, 25-11 and 25-10, led by Shannon Ebert with nine kills. Logan James added eight kills, while Kendall Harris earned seven.
Vermilion 5, Sandusky 0: The Sailors had a 4-0 lead at halftime en route to their third win this fall. Vermilion, now 3-4, had an 11-4 advantage in shots on goal over the Blue Streaks.
Huron 4, Port Clinton 1: The Tigers won all three singles matches against the Redskins in two sets to lift Huron's record to 6-1 overall, 4-1 in the SBC. Port Clinton's No. 1 doubles team of Katie Schroeder and Tiffany Colston earned the lone point for their team, with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Carolyn Stierhoff and Caitlin Foley.
Norwalk 160, Sandusky 195: The Truckers improved to 6-1 on the season with a win over Sandusky at Eagle Creek. Dustin Leiber and Brandon Malson led the way for Norwalk, both with socres of 39. They were followed by Tyler Beveridge and Karson Schaechterle, who both shot 41s.
Perkins 174, Oak Harbor 252: Maddy Mullins led the Pirates to victory over the Rockets with the low score of the match and a new individual record, as she shot a 33 to earn medalist honors. The win improves Perkins' record to 5-1 on the season.
