The Pirates opened their season with a 17-0 rout of the Lady Flyers on Friday at Baines Park in a non-conference game.
Perkins filled the offensive statbook with 17 hits, including a home run by Samantha Schoewe (3 RBIs), a two-RBI triple by Cecily Bradley and doubles by Amanda Hartnett and Kelsey Yaratch.
Keystone 4, Edison 3 (8 inn.)
Edison lost two leads on Friday to softball powerhouse Keystone, falling 4-3 in eight innings in LaGrange.
The Chargers held a 2-1 lead heading to the bottom of the seventh, but the Wildcats tied the game at 2-2.
Edison retook the lead in the top of the eighth, 3-2, but Keystone responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning to win 4-3.
Keystone, which finished the 2010 season No. 3 in the AP's Division II poll, fell to eventual state champion Hebron Lakewood in the regional semifinal, 8-0, the game before Lakewood took down Clyde 12-0.
Port Clinton 9, Old Fort 0
At Old Fort, the Redskins earned their first win of the season with a 9-0 decision against the Stockaders.
Port Clinton's Molly Haberman was 4 for 5 at the plate.
Woodmore 10, Danbury 0 (5 inn.)
At Elmore, Mercedes Johnson led the Wildcats to a 10-0 victory over Danbury.
Woodmore's Johnson was 3 for 3 with a triple and a double for 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Willard 25, Mansfield 5
At Mansfield, Willard put up 11 runs in the top of the seventh inning in a 25-5 victory over Mansfield Senior.
The Crimson Flashes led 14-5 heading into the inning and were able to continue playing because they were the away team.
