Sandusky bowlers split with Fremont Ross; Perkins splits with Willard

The Sandusky bowlers split with Greater Buckeye Conference rival Fremont Ross Tuesday in Sandusky.

The girls defeated the Little Giants, 2,163-1,891, led by senior co-captain Marissa Kieffer (168-184--352). Kerri Riebold rolled a 220 in her second regular game.

The Ross boys defeated Sandusky 2,997-2,701 behind a 390 series from Dalton Schenk (232-158).

Willard boys, Perkins girls win

In Willard, 400-series by Willard's Charlie Dick and William Winiarski led the Crimson Flashes' boys team to a big win over visiting Perkins.

The Perkins girls edged Willard, 2,000-1,943, led by Sam Schoewe's 171-177--348.

Kristen Popke added a 147-119--260, Laura Schoewe with a 121-113--234 and Angelica Sims with a 136-80--216.

Nikki Sims scored a 159-190--349 for Willard (0-2), followed by Katie Howell with a 136-124--260, Dani Bruner with a 97-159--256, Beth Brinkmeier with a 119-83--202, and Sarah Napier and Alayna Senter with a combined 101-92--193.
