‘Tis the season to do good by others — especially when it means enjoying some good food, drinks, football and general merriment. Mr. Ed’s Bar & Grille in Port Clinton is hosting their 3rd annual “Kids for Christmas” event on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m.-2 a.m.

The fundraiser provides holiday gifts and food for several families in Ottawa County. Donations are encouraged, and Mr. Ed’s famous Hobo Stew will be a featured “off menu” item for a minimum donation to the cause. Last year, the event raised enough money to provide a complete Christmas for eight families.

The Ohio State University and Michigan game will be in full swing by noon, so wear your gear as you come to root for your favorite team.

There’s plenty of live entertainment as well, with Mike “Mad Dog” Adams performing from 4-8 p.m. Later that night, local favorites The Junk will perform from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.
