You may not like them, but that’s too bad. Cleveland-based alt-metal band Mushroomhead will be at The Underground for a huge pre-Thanksgiving bash on Nov. 24. The all-ages show features a jam-packed lineup, including the 2010 Bike Week Battle of the Bands winner Jackie (also from Cleveland) and local favorites Russett Burbank.
Mushroomhead has been around since 1993, and the costumes, masks and pseudonyms they’ve become infamous for were actually to differentiate the band from the members’ existing bands. If you dig hardcore drums and guitar, raspy voices and shouting fans, this is probably your scene.
And yes, they look a little scary — but if you’re in the mood to get rowdy and fight your way through what will be a packed crowd, this is the place to be.
