Lillian A. Warrens, 89, of Sandusky died Monday, June 21, 2010, in Erie County Care Facility following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 1, 1921, in Erie, Pa., daughter of the late Annie (Morasky) and John J. Simon. She was a 1939 graduate of East High School in Erie and attended Pennsylvania State College. Lillian served her county in the U.S. Naval Reserve during World War II as a Naval Seaman. Lillian worked for Sears & Roebuck, Co. in Sandusky. She was a devoted, loving and giving mother and grandmother. She loved fishing and crafts and was a homemaker.

Lillian is survived by her grandson, Jerry (Jenifer) Claus of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Sue Nielsen Clause of Bay View; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harrison Claus; son, Gerald H. "Jerry" Claus; parents; brothers, Harry, Peter, John and Edward Simon; and sisters, Edith Constable, Esther Fomich, Kathryn Efimoff, Martha Soudan, Sally Zyniewicz and Anna Carlson.

Private graveside services will be conducted.

Memorial donations may be made to Stein Hospice or to the Lymphoma Society.
