Daneen (Carris) White, 62, of Sandusky, went to heaven to be with her husband and God, April 22, 2010, after a battle with cancer.

She was born June 25, 1947, in Sandusky, to George E. and Betty H. (Seebeck) Carris. Daneen graduated from Sandusky High School and attended college at BGSU. She was employed at Fremont Memorial Hospital as the director of volunteers.

She coordinated travel arrangements and activities as her husband and family spent many summers on the road playing fast-pitch softball in many small towns across Ohio. Daneen and Jack also enjoyed spending time traveling to numerous classic car shows in their Corvette.

She was very strong in her faith and attended church regularly at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church in Fremont. She was very active in the church as a member of the UMW and as the chairperson of the church council and other offices.

Daneen loved playing bridge with her friends. She loved her grandchildren and children very much and spent as much time as possible attending their events.

She is survived by her children, John A. (Michelle) White III, Kimberly (Kathy) S. White; three grand-children, Jack White IV, Braxton White and Ean White; sister, Susie Carris (Jay) Sturdivant; brother-in-law, Robert C. (Amy) White; sister-in-law, Rebecca (Daleen) White; niece, Jessica White; and her nephews, Erick White, Jason (Lauren) Sturdivant and A. J. Sturdivant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) A. White Jr.; and parents, George E. and Betty H. Carris.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday in Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Monday until services at 10:30 a.m. in Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church. Pastor Denise Turpin will officiate.

She will be sorely missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church in Fremont or Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
