Q: What can I do about people not parking their cars efficiently on the street in Perkins? Someone often parks on my mother's street, taking up space that could clearly fit more than one car. Can police or zoning officials enforce some type of "courtesy code" to have this car move just a little bit so two cars can fit in the space? –Bob on Schiller Avenue

Q: I think the house next door to me has been abandoned by the homeowner. The homeowner finally evicted the renter but not until the property was already pretty much destroyed. The junk, old carpet, etc., is in the side yard right next to my house. Not only am I concerned about my property values decreasing because of the poor condition, I'm also concerned with animals taking up residence. Who could I contact to get the outside of the property cleaned up? - Thanks, Vicki from the west side of town

Q: Dear Mailbag, This is a follow-up to a note I wrote to The Mailbag several weeks ago. Has there been any word on when or if the new City Manager for the City of Sandusky will start? I saw the article at sanduskyregister.com about the petition that is currently circulating regarding making the City Manager position an elected position. Is this what is causing the delay for the new manager to start? If it is not, then what is actually causing the delay and does the city have a fall back plan if she does not start? - Eric from Sandusky

Apparently docks were damaged this past early fall and other issues exist but the City is being hush hush. Also, when does the City anticipate the Paper District Marina to be paid off through Tax Increment Financing? - Don in Sandusky
