Sandusky police officer James DeSalle received a reprieve. "I am very concerned about your conduct,' city manager Nicole Ard wrote in the recent reprimand letter to DeSalle. "You have had two incidents of unacceptable conduct within a span of three months."

A letter received by the Federal Bureau of Investigation has prompted the agency to call in the Lorain County Bomb Squad and Erie County Hazmat Team to the NASA Plum Brook facility. Perkins Township fire and police departments have also been put on alert as the facility is investigated.
