The city of Bellevue is looking in every direction to save money and its latest move is to consider eliminating the city's pension pickup for its non-union employees. If approved, this move would end the city's contribution of 10 percent of each employee's salary into a pension fund for all of its supervisors and elected and appointed officials.

In the past, we have seen many services cut, along with a reduction in our police and fire departments. If you consider roughly 75 percent is going to the schools, the rest is a real deal. Look at the pie chart on your taxes. Police protection, fire, parks, sewage, water, street and snow removal: a deal at 25 percent. Our problem is with the schools and I don't mean the teachers.

NORWALK Huron County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 65-year-old Norwalk woman after she allegedly assaulted her daughter with a coffee cup. Shirley K. Cozart, 65, 4400 block Gibbs Road, Norwalk was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of assault Saturday evening after officials say she attacked her daughter and her son-in-law who live with her.

SANDUSKY A drinking party on Hayes Avenue got out of hand late Monday night when Tyson J. Conway, 25, apparently got into an argument about gangs, police said. Conway, 200 block Sheffield Way, ended up being stabbed three times by a kitchen knife in his chest and on his right hand.

We now have a President who set out to be a "Do-Gooder". He made promises to the people that totally depend on Government, Unions for lobbying who voted for him and come hell or high water he is going to keep those promises at the expense of your and my taxes, putting our country in great debt. It's his way or else, which is doing away with or getting rid of our freedoms.
