“Apron Strings” is a play of six vignettes about motherhood. Playwright Michael McKeever has long been a favorite of Harlequins theatre, and this particular play afforded it the opportunity to take people involved with the theatre and, with the guidance of mentors Phillip W. Johnson and Marian Hancy, prepare them to direct.
A few years ago, Winter Days was started to get people to enjoy the outdoors, even in the wintertime. This year it’s back and more popular than ever with sleigh rides, sled dogs presentations, live musical entertainment and more. The event focuses on providing fun for the whole family to enjoy.
More than a decade ago, Jamie Lissow graduated from Fredonia State with a degree in mathematics and psychology. The Rochester, New York native was headed straight for law school but a funny thing happened on the way. Now, instead of order in the court, it’s disorder on a comedy club or theater stage.
J Bistro is reopening today after a short hiatus and Consulting Chef Barbara Mills and Chef Jesse Harris were gracious enough to let me in before they reopened to check it all out, including getting to taste some of their delicious food featured on the winter menu. I snapped some pictures, too.
