Theodore E. Fillmore, 56, of 3047 N. Tiara Drive, Port Clinton, was flown to a hospital in Toledo after his motorcycle went off the road Saturday afternoon in Danbury Township, state troopers said.

He was listed in fair condition as of late Saturday night at University of Toledo Medical Center, a hospital spokesperson said.

According to a news release from the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Fillmore was riding his Harley-Davidson Fat Boy east on Bayshore Road, just west of Danbury Station Road, when he went off the road on a curve. The motorcycle flipped several times. Fillmore, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and received serious head injuries. The motorcycle landed on top of him.

Witnesses to the crash lifted the motorcycle off of him before calling 911, troopers said.

Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the crash, which occurred at about 1:10 p.m., troopers said.
