Sandusky boy struck by car

A 7-year-old was treated and released after being hit by a car Tuesday night. Witnesses and the driver, Michael Jackson, 36, told Sandusky police officers the boy darted out from between vehicles. Jackson was not cited for the accident but was found to be driving under suspension.

Vermilion pays out in money-skimming scandal

The former safety service director will receive a payment of about $2,000 after council unanimously voted in favor of the idea Monday during a meeting, according to councilman Scott Sherwood.
