CLYDE
A fire devoured much of a two-story home in Clyde Wednesday afternoon, causing at least $150,000 in damage, Clyde firefighters said.
Firefighters were called to 3626 Township Road 195 at about 2:30 p.m.
The homeowner said he was inside the home with his two sons, ages 2 and 4, when he heard a "big boom" at the back of his house. A neighbor then alerted him that the back of the house was on fire.
The homeowner and his sons were not injured. The fire gutted the entire upstairs of the home.
The homeowner said he suspects a bolt of lightening sparked the fire, but firefighters said they're still investigating the cause.
