The Erie County Dog Pound features the following dogs available for adoption:
Sadie -- Female bluetick hound, 3 years old. Housebroken, loves people and other dogs. Must have fenced yard. Available now.
Fred -- Male border collie mix, 5 years old. Housebroken, friendly, eager to please. Available at 3:50 p.m. today.
Baily -- Small female husky mix, 3 years old. Housebroken. Available now.
Daisy -- Spayed female beagle mix. Housebroken, lovable, a little overweight. Available now.
The Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave., Perkins Township, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Call 419-627-7607. Adopting a dog costs $30.
The Erie County Humane Society features the following felines available for adoption:
Joker -- A 1-year-old buff colored kitty. He loves to talk and is affectionate.
Hailey -- Was brought into the shelter when her owner died. She is a nice 1-year-old cat.
Olivia -- A 9-month-old tiger and white girl. She was found as a stray and wants to know what a real home is like.
Buddy Jr. -- He is very energetic and loves to play. This 1-year-old cat likes other cats and dogs.
The Humane Society is located at 1911 Superior St., Sandusky. Adoption hours are 1-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Normal adoption fees are: Cats/kittens $60, but fees are waived for cats 3 years old or older. Dogs/puppies adoption fees vary. The fees include spaying/neutering and first shots if the kitten is at least 3 months old. The phone number is 419-626-6220.
