Erie County Sheriff's deputies have two men in custody who they believe may be involved in burglaries around the area.
The two men, Matthew D. Fortner, 24, of Norwalk, and Daniel S. Wirsche, 39, of Sandusky, were arrested on charges related to a burglary at a home in the 9700 block of Ohio 101 in Castalia.
Two girls, ages 17 and 8, said they saw a man run out of their garage door when they arrived home from school on Wednesday. The 17-year-old girl told deputies the man looked at her and paused briefly before running away through a field. He then got into a red pickup truck and sped away.
The family later found a substantial amount of jewelry missing.
After the alleged burglary, Fortner and Wirsche were pulled over in a red Toyota pickup truck with a white stripe down the side by Sandusky police. Sandusky officers made the stop because the truck had a loud muffler.
Officers found a large amount of jewelry under the seat.
Erie County sheriff's deputies believe these men may have been involved in other burglaries in Seneca, Sandusky, Huron and Erie counties. If you've had a burglary that may be related, call deputies at 419-625-7951.

Danny Wirsche is a piece of garbage and always has been. He does not take care of his kids and he's a heroin addict. He's been in and out of prison so many times and has so many felonies. He's never been a taxpayer and never will be. Taxpayers get tired of taking care of him and spending tens of thousands of dollars every time he goes to prison. He is a menace to society and takes from the hard working people of society. He deserves life in prison. He will never be reformed. He is a recidivist.

Oops, NO one is fainting at his feet anymore. You liberal, entitlement freaks are becoming SLACK! Ha! Ha! If they do not have long criminal records, I would opt for a plea deal. Why? Because they decided with choice NOT to harm the two girls. I certainly appreciate that. This is a non-violent felony property crime. But, if they have been involved in other criminal enterprise, they should be sent away. Excellent job to the two young ladies for getting a good description and good job Erie County deputies in catching them. I do agree, WHO CARES what race they are. Each individual person decides with rational choice if they want to live a responsible life or be a two-bit liberal, loser thug. It is the decision and choice in all of us. Be careful out there. Make sure you can protect yourselves and your family. It appears the socialist program of "spreading the wealth around" and "class envy" are increasing at an alarming rate.

That's great they caught these thiefs, but they are not the ones from Sandusky County!! Multiple neighbors in my area have had their houses broken into; the car and the two men have been seen, but it is not these two guys. Maybe there is a group working together.
