@ Clueless - Under the Ohio Revised Code for Aggravated Burglary it states:

"No person, by force, stealth, or deception, shall trespass in an occupied structure or in a separately secured or separately occupied portion of an occupied structure, when another person other than an accomplice of the offender is present, with purpose to commit in the structure or in the separately secured or separately occupied portion of the structure any criminal offense, if any of the following apply:

(1) The offender inflicts, or attempts or threatens to inflict physical harm on another;

(2) The offender has a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance on or about the offender’s person or under the offender’s control.

Whoever violates this section is guilty of aggravated burglary, a felony of the first degree..."

You don't need to steal anything to be charged with Aggravated Burglary.

To be a criminal these days is NOT a good choice.  It has been reported that the number of concealed carry permits is RISING.  If this criminal would have picked the WRONG house to do this in he just might be dead or severely injured, not just charged with aggravated burglary.  If someone I DO NOT know is standing in MY house, I am pretty sure that my "momma bear" instinct would kick in and I would do whatever was necessary to protect my children.  I would be sure to inform the 911 dispacter that an ambulance would also be required along with the police!

OOOHHHHHH!! Ok, got it. Was confused for a minute there. Thought more happened than what was reported, not that what he did was not bad enough!!! Thanks much.

understatement

Let this guy come to my house, he would NOT be leaving in handcuffs. He would be leaving in a body bag!

Momma Bears dont mess around. Nothing in my house is more important than my child and my husband. But if you step foot on MY property, you best damn well bet I have a gun!  Think twice idiots!

A thought just crossed my mind, I may just be missing something, did she run to her room alone, or did she have her child with her? Did she leave her baby in a different room while this nutcase was running  through her house, leaving the child defensless? There may be more in the actual paper. Someone let me know.
