Local police respond every day to heated and unusual situations. The following is one item pulled from the daily police blotter. SANDUSKY POLICE TUESDAY, AUG. 30 10:08 p.m. - 200 block E. Water St., drunken man shouted "I need a ride' to police, ran up to cruiser, tried to get in, police gave him a free ride to jail; Fred Bruder, no age listed, 100 block Perry St., disorderly conduct intoxicated. This is what the police put in their report. If it's not correct you need no contact SPD.

Speaking from experience, the police are notorious for fabricating their reports .All I could do is shake my head and cry. The policeman realized I was reading the report when I went to court, he looked at me, gave me a sneeky looking sneer, and turned his head. He knew what he did. Makes them look better I guess.
