Local police respond every day to heated and unusual situations. The following is one item pulled from the daily police blotter. PERKINS POLICE WEDNESDAY, JULY 27 7:49 p.m. - 500 block W. Perkins Ave., disturbance, kids rode bikes through a yard, 22-year-old man yelled at them, called said he might be on something, the man told police he drank four Monster Energy Drinks and "with his medical condition it may have made him a little out of control.' For the full daily police blotter from agencies across the area, pick up the Register or check out the e-paper.

Who called the police? The kids or the man?

I wondered the same thing.  I have found in this day and age, the PARENTS of the kids call the cops.  If you yell at a child, he goes home and tells mommy that the mean lady at the park yelled at him.  Mommy then calls the cops and says you are harassing her kid.  I'm sorry if I am in MY yard on MY porch drinking Monster, Wine, beer, or water and some kid rides his bike thru MY yard and I yell at him,,, why are the cops (better yet the parents) dealing with the kids with no respect / common sense.  Why am I getting in trouble for telling someone to stay out of my yard? I wonder if there is more to the story than what is in the blotter?
