1500 block Edgewater Ave., police heard shotgun blasts coming from railroad tracks. Gun owner told police he just bought the gun and was testing it; said he was shooting away from houses and thought it was all right. Police said they were still in the city; confiscated shotgun and shells. Jonathan Welch, 26, 4000 block Venice Road, discharging firearm in city limits. Joshua Kaman, 26, 3700 block Venice Road, discharging firearm in city limits.

kurtj... see how far that attitude gets them if the railroad hears of this - which they prollly will. The RR takes no excuses for shooting on or near the tracks.

i shot it in the woods toward an OPEN field iv lived next to this woods my entire life, People shoot guns here ALL THE TIME i thought it was ok GET OVER IT!

jonathon... We live in one of the top three deer harvest counties. Our house was in a small subdivision across an acre-plus harvested cornfield from a woods. Our neighbors were at the edge of the field. Their house had three bullet holes in it from people who 'shot in the woods toward an OPEN field' people have lived next to.

I think people are getting too butt hurt over something that was probably aimed in an area with nothing in sight. Saying "way too close" if you aren't there is clearly stupid. Yes they made the mistake of doing it in city limits. But honestly I don't see a shell shooting thousands of yards until it hits some unlucky bystander. If they would have aimed near residential areas I would understand the crying. I am pretty sure all of you including myself have done some pretty stupid things as well like speeding, texting or using a phone while driving and more. Which are all able to get someone killed as well. Think before you type about people's mistakes.

Thank you, there was nothing in sight at all, even the cops were cool about it they even said we were like 20 feet away from the city limits line

Somebody needs to call the waaaaaaaaaaambulance. Now that's said, get off this man's back. Other than the fact that he didn't know where the city limit line was, which how can you...it's invisible. Out in a field, AWAY from houses and in the woods, he did nothing wrong. Also, don't call the man stupid, because he was smart enough to go to and Open field and wooded area to test out his new purchase.

PISSED_IN_SANDUSKY you are obviously an angry person. Sounds like you are a liitle jealous of Jon and TBMA. Does it really matter where he live or what he does? I think not. Im sure you're just bitter because you were ostracized in high school by him or some other closely related friends of Jon's. Jon is a good dude, who works, supports his family, and does music on the side becuase he likes it. Called a hobby there guy. And as far as TBMA goes, you obviously know who he is and what his music sounds like; therefore, you are contradicting yourself. Educate yourself douche bag.
