Harrison and West Jefferson streets, man assaulted girlfriend, grabbing her by the throat. When she slipped and fell, he kept shoving her down as she tried to get up and kicked her in the left side of her face. Her face was swollen and bruised. Police took her to hospital and prepared charges against boyfriend.

What part of town is that in, again? Oh, yeah. Slipped my mind for a sec.

It really doesn't matter what side of town it's on - DOMESTIC VIOLENCE happens everywhere, every gender, race, etc..etc! Get a clue!

Yes it does happen everywhere...but sometimes it DOES seem to follow a pattern.

Yep, a psychological pattern and profile. Discriminating about a specific neighborhood is just pure ignorant, simple as that.

Break the silence of Domestic Violence. We need to give victims the opportunity to speak out against domestic abuse and violence. It takes great courage to speak out and seek the protection and help to get out of an abusive relationship. It is not easy to escape your abuser. Some victims even die trying. Nobody knows what an abuser looks like, they look like regular citizens, how many people background checked their spouses/partners? Abusers are different at home than they are to their friends or out in public.
