Get her off the road before she kills or maims someone. Enough of this "she has 5 drunk driving convictions in 20 years". If she was a drunk at 21, and is still a drunk at 41, it is a sure bet she isn't going to change. Please don't put my life at jeopardy because she can't control her drinking. Her license should be taken away until she is at least over her "let's party" stage of life.

I am sorry but why wait till FIFTH DUI or the SIXTH DUI......How do you get that many and still drive?  I think the 1st or at the very most 2nd DUI should be your LAST.  Although anymore you can not tell if peope are drunk or on the phone texting.  People really need to WAKE up and take responsibilty for their actions.  Think about something other than themselves.  Society is going to He!! in a handbasket.  Everyone and the "all about ME" attitude.

I thought the intersection of Monroe and Wayne was a stop sign not a stop light?

Why do judges let people with this many DUI;s go?  Why not put them in jail and then EDUCATE them?  She could kill someone?  Is that what it takes to stop these drunks on the road????   She shouldn't be driving at all.  Sounds like she didn't know what she even drank.

And for your info.....Wayne and E Monroe has a stop sign, not a red light....I went and checked.  The report was wrong.  You better advise the officers who picked her up.  The light is at Hancock and E Monroe......Are they new????

'12:24 a.m. — Wayne and E. Monroe streets, police watched as car cruised through red light without slowing'

@ grandmasgirl  I agree with you about getting her out of a car by taking her license, but like most drug addicts she will find a way to drive with/without her license.

@ ladydye  I wonder this too.  Could it be that this was her 'driving privileges' for work, school, the doctor, and the grocery store?

@ wiredmama  you said "And for your info.....Wayne and E Monroe has a stop sign, not a red light....I went and checked. The report was wrong. You better advise the officers who picked her up. The light is at Hancock and E Monroe......Are they new????'

I read this as the officer was sitting at 'Wayne and E. Monroe' and 'watched as the car cruised through the red light without slowing'

Really?  You went and checked?  You must not have much of a life that you can go and check on what is written in police reports.  Is that your job to find error in the police reports?

Seenocolor----if you have 5 DUI's you should NOT have driving privileges...PERIOD.  No work, no school, no doctor, no groceries.  Isnt that the whole point of NO driving? NO license?  I agree even with no license people like this will continue to drive.  They will continue to drink and they will continue to drive drunk.  They will eventually hurt or kill someone and then they will STILL DRIVE.  People need to grow up and be responsible.  And people need to stop making excuses for them.

Captain Gutz

I find no evidence based on this report that she has a drivers license.

Hello

@ seenocolor  Do you ever sit and think about what you are saying to people??  Do you ever think what you are saying may be hitting a little below the belt and is uncalled for?

I don't see a reason for what you said to wiredmama.  IMO only it was plain rude what you said.  So what if she went to check for herself.  It's her perogative to do so.  It may be her job, you don't know; maybe it a way to keep the police on their toes.

Who are you to judge what anybody else does?
