Local police respond every day to heated and unusual situations. The following is one item pulled from the daily police blotter. ERIE COUNTY SHERIFF THURSDAY, APRIL 19 5:58 p.m. - 9700 block Main Road, Berlin Heights, eight bullet holes in barn siding, deputies talked to neighbors who pointed to nearby house, woman at house started crying, said she was shooting targets with .22 caliber pistol, didn't think they'd travel that far, agreed to fix barn. I shot a BB gun as a kid at a tin can up on a post. Didn't consider what would happen if I missed the shot. That sound a BB makes when it hits the plastic siding of a neighbor's house made me piss my pants. Don't think the neighbors ever found out though.
